Quick add: type it like a text

The quick-add bar sits at the top of your dashboard. Type a short phrase with an amount and press Enter — the expense is added without opening a form.

What it understands

fuel 800 → 800 in Transport
groceries 2.4k → 2,400 in Groceries — “k” means thousand
netflix 649 → 649 in Entertainment

How it works

On the free plan, a fast built-in reader finds the amount and matches the words to one of your space’s categories. It works instantly and never leaves Traxpend’s own servers.
On Pro, the same AI that powers voice entry reads your phrase — so it also understands who paid, dates like “yesterday”, and other languages.

tip

Always include a number. If Traxpend can’t find an amount, it asks you to try something like “Fuel 800”.

Pro shortcuts & multi-word queries

uber 350 yesterday — automatically sets the date to yesterday.
dinner 1800 paid by Priya — assigns Priya as the paying member on Pro plans.
wifi 999 monthly — sets up a recurring monthly expense in one command.

If you ever make a typo during quick add, you can immediately click the undo toast or edit the logged transaction from your recent activity list.
