Three kinds of expense

  • One-time — everyday spending, counted in the month it happened.
  • Bulk supply — a big purchase that lasts several months, spread evenly over up to 12 months. See Recurring and bulk expenses.
  • Recurring — rent, subscriptions and bills that repeat daily or monthly and log themselves.

Splitting across specific members

By default, every expense is shared according to your space’s configured contribution shares. If a specific purchase only applies to certain people (such as a personal takeout order or one person sitting out an excursion), you can assign the expense to specific participants directly on the transaction form.
