Who can see your money
Invite-only spaces
Only people you invite can join your space. Space admins decide who stays and who can manage members.
Never sold, never shared for ads
We don’t sell, rent or trade your data. It’s used solely to run Traxpend for you — zero advertiser tracking.
Staff access is separate
Our internal admin tools use their own authentication, completely kept apart from customer financial accounts.
How it’s protected
Encrypted in transit
Every connection uses HTTPS, with HSTS so browsers refuse unencrypted connections, and secure-only cookies.
Passwords are never stored
We keep only a salted, one-way hash of your password, using Django’s standard PBKDF2 password hashing.
Brute-force protection
Sign-in and password-reset attempts are strictly rate-limited at the API gateway to stop password guessing.
Cryptographic signed links
Password-reset and space invite links are cryptographically signed, single-use, and expire automatically.
Production monitoring
Active monitoring and error tracking ensure anomalies or security issues are detected and resolved immediately.

Security & Privacy FAQs
Does Traxpend connect to my bank account?
No. You add expenses yourself — by typing, speaking, or scanning paper receipts with AI. Traxpend never asks for banking logins or passwords.
Does Traxpend hold or move my money?
No. Traxpend calculates who owes whom and provides a UPI QR code or payment link. Actual money transfers happen directly between people through their own payment apps.
How do I report a security issue?
Email support@traxpend.app with the technical details. We take vulnerability disclosures seriously and respond within 24 hours.
