Open Budget Go to Budget in the sidebar.

Set category limits Give categories like Groceries or Dining a monthly amount.

Watch the month Each budget shows spent, remaining and percentage used, updating with every expense.

How alerts work

A warning when a category reaches its alert threshold — 80% unless you change it.
A second alert when it goes over 100%.
Alerts appear in your notifications and are emailed to the space, so the whole household sees them in time.

tip

Budgets are per month, so you can raise December’s for festivals without changing the rest of the year.

Customizing alert thresholds

In addition to the standard 80% proactive warning, space admins can customize notification sensitivity for individual categories. For essential categories like Rent or Mortgage, you can silence early warnings, while keeping tight 75% alerts on discretionary spending such as Dining Out and Entertainment.

Budget Rollover

Unspent budget from one month does not automatically roll over, giving your household a fresh, clean slate at the start of every billing cycle.
