# Wishlist voting

- Add an item with its price and a priority: low, medium, high or urgent.
- Members vote **Need**, **Maybe** or **Later**.
- Items move through pending, approved or rejected, and finally purchased.

## Democratic household purchasing

The Wishlist feature eliminates impulsive spending and communication friction. Instead of one person making a big discretionary purchase without consulting others, items are suggested and voted on collectively.

1. **Propose an item**: Add product name, estimated price, store link, and why it is beneficial for the household.
2. **Cast votes**: Members vote `Need`, `Maybe`, or `Later`. Traxpend tallies sentiment and flags consensus.
3. **Convert to expense**: Once approved and purchased, an admin can click `Log as Expense` to instantly create a transaction without re-typing details.
