# Install Traxpend on your phone

> Add Traxpend to your home screen for a full-screen app with push notifications.

## iPhone and iPad

1. **Open in Safari**: Visit traxpend.com and sign in.
2. **Share → Add to Home Screen**: Tap the Share button, then `Add to Home Screen`.

## Android

1. **Open in Chrome**: Visit traxpend.com and sign in.
2. **Install**: Tap `Install app` when prompted, or open the ⋮ menu and choose `Install app` / `Add to Home screen`.

> **Tip:** Once installed, turn on notifications in `Settings → Notifications` to hear about new expenses and budget alerts.

## Desktop and Mac installation

1. **Chrome or Edge on Mac/PC**: Look for the install icon (a small computer monitor or down arrow) in your browser address bar on traxpend.com, then click `Install Traxpend`.
2. **Dock or Taskbar shortcut**: The app runs in its own window without browser toolbars and launches directly from your Mac Dock or Windows Start Menu.

> **Offline resilience:** Once installed, Traxpend caches core views so you can view existing ledger history and balances even when travelling without an active internet connection.
